Charity Health

Does it feel good when you help someone out? Does it feel good to know that you were able to be there for somebody when they needed it most, even if you dont know who the heck they are?

That's what charity is - charity does not necessarily mean spending money to give to the poor and the other cliches that people consider "charity". Charity can mean just being available to the public.

When you do things like this, you're essentially allowing yourself to be relieved of feeling like you've done nothing, or the feeling of guilt when you come upon certain situations.

In general, helping others can decrease the amount of stress you may have simply because you took it out of yourself to make somone elses day feel better, which in turn, may make your day feel like heaven.

Why Even Donate to Charity?

Lets take a look at the word "donate" and put it into context. When we think of the word "donate", we think of voluntarily giving to others - whether it be our time, money or assistance, "donating" in essence, is something that is not forced on the individual.

But why should you donate to a particular cause? Why even go the extra mile to be "that one" that gives money to the less fortunate?

We looked at the health aspects of donating to charity, but now lets look at these other aspects as well. Here are just a few reasons why you should donate to charity.

1) Its just the right thing to do because your going out of your way to lend a helping hand - and on top of that, it can help you within your career. Nowadays, jobs dont just look at the "what and where", being where you worked and what your job was, they also look at the "who and why", who did you help or assist and why did you decide to do it.

2) Even if you don't mean it, it lets others know that you're not a stuck up individual that doesnt regard the existence of anyone else in the world

3) Having a good self-conscience is part of this

...and there are other factors you can think of

...And Whats in It for Me?

If you decide you want to starting donating to charities with this attitude, then just don't donate. The point of donating to a charity simple - help others who need it most.

If you have the mentality of "Well I'm giving all this money to all these people and I'm not getting anything in return", then there truly is no point for your time and complain about it then.

Charity is giving, and its up to you to decide if you want to help your community or not. But if you want to donate to charity without spending money, then become part of the BaseCharity social network and utilize the complete new way to give back to the world. Don't just comment on this hub, be different and make a change - even it is small.

1. It's better to be able to give than it is to recieve.

2. Those who have recieve should consider giving to those in need.

3. Never give to those with greed rather than need.
